Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Service Finder LLC, doing business as StudentMower ("StudentMower," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the StudentMower platform, including all related websites, subdomains, software, messaging systems, communication interfaces, APIs, mobile interfaces, and any other services or functionality provided by StudentMower (collectively, the "Platform").

By accessing, browsing, registering for, or otherwise using the Platform in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you must immediately discontinue use of the Platform. Continued use of the Platform constitutes ongoing acceptance of these Terms as they may be amended from time to time.

StudentMower operates solely as a technology-based connection platform that allows individuals seeking services ("Customers") to identify and communicate with individuals offering services ("Students"). The Platform functions exclusively as a neutral directory and communication tool and does not provide any services itself.

StudentMower does not employ, retain, supervise, direct, control, recommend, endorse, evaluate, or guarantee any Student, Customer, or service. StudentMower does not participate in negotiations, pricing decisions, scheduling, service delivery, supervision, payment processing, dispute resolution, or performance monitoring between users.

Any agreement, transaction, or interaction entered into between users is solely between those users, and StudentMower is not a party to such agreements and assumes no responsibility for them.

Nothing contained on the Platform or in these Terms shall be construed to create any employment relationship, independent contractor relationship, partnership, joint venture, franchise, fiduciary duty, or agency relationship between StudentMower and any user.

Students operate independently and act solely on their own behalf. StudentMower does not control or direct the manner or method by which Students perform services, nor does it provide tools, equipment, training, or instructions. Users acknowledge that StudentMower's role is strictly limited to providing an informational and communication platform and that no user is authorized to represent or bind StudentMower in any way.

Use of the Platform is limited to individuals who meet the eligibility requirements stated herein. Customers must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Individuals wishing to offer services as Students must be at least thirteen (13) years of age. Students under eighteen must obtain permission from a parent or legal guardian before using the Platform.

By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. StudentMower does not verify the identity or age of users and relies solely on user representations. Any use of the Platform by individuals who do not meet these requirements is unauthorized and constitutes a violation of these Terms.

Users are solely responsible for evaluating, selecting, communicating with, and engaging with other users. Customers bear full responsibility for determining whether a Student is qualified, suitable, and trustworthy for a particular task. Customers must independently verify all information, qualifications, experience, references, and credentials of any Student they choose to engage.

Students bear full responsibility for the services they offer and perform, including the manner of performance, equipment used, pricing, scheduling, compliance with applicable laws, safety practices, and quality of work. StudentMower does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of user-provided information and disclaims all responsibility for any reliance placed on such information.

StudentMower does not conduct background checks, identity verification, credential verification, licensing checks, insurance verification, reference checks, or criminal history checks on users. The Platform operates as an open directory and communication system.

Users acknowledge that any decision to interact with another user is made entirely at their own risk and discretion. StudentMower expressly disclaims any duty to investigate or verify users and shall not be liable for any failure to do so.

StudentMower does not process payments, hold funds, transmit money, or facilitate financial transactions between users. All payments, compensation, deposits, tips, or other financial exchanges occur directly between Customers and Students.

StudentMower is not responsible for payment disputes, nonpayment, refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, or disagreements regarding pricing or services. Users acknowledge that StudentMower is not a payment processor or financial intermediary and bears no liability for any financial interactions between users.

The Platform is a neutral technology service. StudentMower does not recommend, rank, promote, endorse, or favor any user. Any search results or listings displayed on the Platform may be generated automatically based on neutral factors such as location, availability, user-entered data, or platform activity. Such results do not constitute recommendations or endorsements. Users are solely responsible for their decisions regarding whom to contact or hire.

By providing your phone number or other contact information to StudentMower, you expressly consent to receive communications related to service requests, platform notifications, account activity, or transactional messages. These communications may be sent using automated technology where permitted by law.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message. For assistance, reply HELP or contact legal@studentmower.com.

Your consent to receive messages is not a condition of purchase or use of the Platform.

Users may submit content including profiles, descriptions, images, reviews, messages, or other materials. By submitting content, you grant StudentMower a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display such content for purposes of operating, improving, and promoting the Platform.

You represent that you possess all necessary rights to submit such content. StudentMower assumes no responsibility for user content and reserves the right to remove content at its sole discretion.

Users agree not to misuse the Platform. Prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to providing false information, impersonating another person, harassing or threatening users, posting unlawful content, attempting unauthorized access, interfering with system functionality, scraping data, or using automated tools without authorization.

StudentMower reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and to suspend or terminate accounts without notice.

Use of the Platform is entirely at your own risk. StudentMower does not supervise interactions between users and is not responsible for any conduct occurring between them. You acknowledge that engaging with other users may involve risks, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, financial loss, or misconduct.

You voluntarily assume all risks associated with using the Platform and interacting with other users.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StudentMower and its owners, members, managers, officers, employees, affiliates, licensors, contractors, agents, and representatives shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including without limitation personal injury, property damage, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of the Platform.

In no event shall StudentMower's total cumulative liability exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100), regardless of the legal theory asserted.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Service Finder LLC dba StudentMower and its owners, members, managers, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, judgments, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, your conduct, your services, your communications, or your violation of these Terms.

StudentMower does not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform at any time without notice or liability. We may also update or revise these Terms periodically. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

All intellectual property rights related to the Platform, including software, design, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks, are owned by or licensed to StudentMower and are protected by applicable laws. Users may not reproduce, copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from Platform content without prior written consent.

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. StudentMower does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Accessing third-party resources is at your own risk.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration conducted in the State of Indiana. By agreeing to these Terms, you waive the right to participate in a class action, jury trial, or representative proceeding. Arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis only.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and StudentMower regarding the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings.
